LifeSwap takes the fun of living how a stranger does one step further. We’ve teamed up with AirBnB to give you a taste of what it’s like to step into someone else’s shoes. Activating the top floor of the Edgewood bar, MOTHER, this pop-up will feature a large-scale installation, titled Lunar, featuring works created and curated by Linda McNeil, Dave Hughes, Cody DeMatteis and Alan Steadman.
Attendees will experience a glowing room filled with ethereal video projection work and cosmic sculptural installations. Experienced mixologists will handcraft vibrant, star-studded cocktails while DJs play house and disco music.
MOTHER is hosting several activations throughout the week, including a pop-up zine shop and soft opening on Sunday the 14th, an official opening and countdown to the anniversary of the moon landing on Monday the 15th, nightly guest bartenders, a bring your own vinyl dance party on the 17th, a dance party on the 18th, and a closing Art Party on the 19th.

Alan Steadman, Dave Hughes, Cody DeMatteis and Linda McNeil are the artists and curators of Lunar. This group started working together 2 years ago to put together Earth, a projection show at Mother celebrating our beautiful planet. Members of the group work in the animation industry and on the Adult Swim show, "Off The Air.” They have also partnered with various groups around Atlanta, such as Dope Girls and Club Soda, to create original visuals and animation.

On July 16th, 1966 Apollo 11 began its trek to the moon. Join us on the 15th for the official opening of MOON BAR, plus a midnight countdown to lift off. This night will also feature the official release of the Moon Zine. The drink program includes balanced and booze forward unique cocktails, such as effervescent bubbly, ethereal colors, and aromatic herbals.
Come visit MOON BAR from 5-10PM. Then, stick around for Club Y2K: A 2000s Dance Party presented by House of ALXNDR, paying homage to the decade that was just a a decade ago with a one-night-only dance party.
